The most useful quotation explains both the equipment and the work around it. Prepare an enquiry that makes the configuration, delivery scope and open questions easy to review.

A quotation needs more than a headline price

State quantity, configuration, currency, validity, expected readiness and the services requested. Separate provisional costs from fixed commitments. If a supplier offers a delivered price, ask for the named destination and a written explanation of the included transport and local responsibilities.

Plan the handover before packing begins

Agree the item list, identifiers, packing requirements, collection arrangements and documents needed by the receiving team. Confirm site access, unloading and installation responsibilities in advance. This connects the commercial agreement to a practical arrival plan rather than leaving those tasks until the shipment is in transit.
